Over 500 years of friendship celebrated at Abbeymoore!

Abbeymoore sure was lively this week when Mack, Nora, Harold, Gladys, Ian, Alice & Lois........ dropped in for a three day reunion.  This gang have been friends for almost 70 yrs and they sure know how to enjoy themselves!  While in Victoria they enjoyed dinner at Paprika Bistro & The Marina as well as a visit to the Government House gardens.  One of the highlights was when Ian, a retired physics teacher, performed the "Egg & Broomstick Trick" taught to him by Mack's mother in 1946.  Ian left us his broom and showed Sarah & Anne 'how it's done' but for those who can't make it to Abbeymoore you can see Dom Deluise performing this trick on the Tonight Show below. Luckily no eggs were harmed in Ian's performance!

They had almost as much fun with five eggs as we had with one! My mother, who ran the boarding house where all the guys lived while at UBC showed us this trick one year during exams. What a great way to relax! Thanks again, Anne, Ian, Sarah and Michelle for your contribution to yet another great reunion of the "Old Gang"
